Jose “Joe” G. Villarreal, 80, of Lake Jackson, passed away Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Woodlake Nursing Home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Restwood Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Restwood Memorial Park.
Jose was born March 19, 1938 in Refugio County, Texas to Catarino and Abelina Gonzalez. Villarreal. Jose worked for over 30 years at Chemical Leaman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He will be missed by numerous family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers Manuel Villarreal, Jesus Villarreal, Vincent Villarreal and Jose Villarreal.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years Beatrice Villarreal; children Joseph and wife Lisa Villarreal, and Patrick Villarreal; sisters Victoria Cantu, Nicolasa Vasquez and Mary Veselka; grandchildren Staci Villarreal and boyfriend Travis and Kara Steiner and husband Brian; and one great-grandchild Colton Steiner.
