Georgia Barbara Gainey was born on August 6, 1928 in Rockdale, TX to parents Carrie (Murphy) Brandstetter and Milton Brandstetter and passed away on June 2, 2023 in Lake Jackson, TX.
She worked as a secretary for the Alief Independent School District. She also was a bookkeeper/secretary and member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles for many years. She enjoyed traveling, attending church, and spending time with her family.
Survivors are two sons, Steven Sproles of Lake Jackson, TX and James Sproles of Needville, TX; three grandchildren, Justin Sproles, Ron Sproles, and Loni Sproles; three great-grandchildren, Clara Sproles, Sophia Sproles, and Adrian Sproles; and one brother, Byron Brandstetter.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; daughter Linda Rudd; and granddaughter Ashley Rudd.
