Frederick Otto Hardung III

Frederick Otto Hardung III, 78, of Marion, Texas passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023, surrounded by his loved ones. Fred was born on April 5, 1945, in Galveston, Texas to the late Frederick Otto Hardung Jr. and Violet Dorothy Hardung.

Fred spent his time in retirement with his beloved wife of 55 years, Wanda Joyce Hardung, traveling, gardening and spending time with loved ones.

Fred is preceded in death by his loving parents, Fred and Violet Hardung, Brothers John Wayne Sealy, Charles Andrew Zinante, Jerry George Hardung, Son Danny Hardung and Grandson John C Duhon III.

Our Captain is survived by wife, Wanda Joyce Hardung, Daughter, Amanda Desormeaux and husband Brian Desormeaux, seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one very loyal cat named Jackson.

A Celebration of the Legendary, Fred Hardung’s Life will take place at Restwood Memorial in Clute, Texas at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 20, 2023, burial will immediately follow. Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 PM on Friday, May 19, 2023 also at Restwood.

Pallbearers (His Six) will be: Brian Desormeaux, Braden Desormeaux, Roger Nicholson, David Meschede, Jeff Sievers, and Kenneth (Rooster) Auzston. Honorary Pallbearers include Eddie Nelson, Konnor Desormeaaux and Cody Hicks.
