Daniel Andrew Alvarez

Daniel Andrew Alvarez (Golden Boy) was born to Cynthia and Enrique Alvarez on June 18, 1993. Daniel became a 2011 Brazosport High School graduate and loved to work with computers. Daniel would design websites and just loved all new technology! Daniel’s battle with cancer began in February of 2008 and he fought a long and hard fight with many family and friends beside him. Daniel was loved by many and he inspired many as well. To some he was a hero and to others he was a golden boy because he had a heart of gold and he never wanted to give up on life. Daniel is preceded in death by his grandfathers, Felix Alvarez and Salvador Solis Jr. He is survived by his mother, Cynthia Solis Zuniga and step-dad Jorge Zuniga; father, Enrique Alvarez and step-mom Aide Santiago; brothers, Christian Alvarez, Ryan Zuniga; sisters, Gabriella and Estrella Alvarez; grandmothers, Audelia Martinez, Consuelo Luera; many aunts, uncles and several cousins. A special Thank You for all the prayers and support we had for Daniel all of these years. Visitation will be Friday, October 19, 2012 from 6:00 until 7:00 pm at Restwood Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 7:00 pm Friday in the Restwood Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am Saturday, October 20, 2012 at St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Freeport. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park with Gary Iltis, Jaime Celedon, Israel Celedon, Jesus Santillan, Christian Alvarez and Paul Becerra III serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Jorge & Ryan Zuniga, Jarrett Iltis, Enrique Alvarez, Robert Becerra and Zackary Nieto. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.restwoodfuneralhome.com.
