Celia (Peregrina) Meza

Celia P. Meza of Rosenberg, Texas, formerly of Clute, was born October 21, 1926 in Mexico to Aurora Jaime and Enrique Peregrina and died August 8, 2013 in Sugar Land, Texas at the age of 86. Celia was loved by her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She met and married her husband, Mario P. Meza, in Mexico and followed him to the United States. Together they owned several businesses and worked in the Brazosport area while raising a family. She enjoyed photography when she was younger, she crocheted and enjoyed cooking. She was of the Catholic Faith. Celia is preceded in death by her parents; husband and a great grandchild, Kaden Julius Jones. She is survived by her children, Manuel P. Meza, Aurora Perez and her husband David, Antonio Meza and his wife Elizabeth, Ricardo Meza; grandchildren, Ben Perez and his wife Stacy, Kim Perez-Uddin & her husband Moe, Tomas Chavez & Brittney, Crystal Jones, Antonio Meza Jr., Ricardo Mario Meza and his wife Varonica, Daniel Bryan Meza and his wife Yvette, Tessa Baker; great grandchildren, Christian Perez, Noah Perez, Dallas Chavez, Austin Chavez, Ariana Juarez, Arciana Knotts, Isiaih Meza, Cianna Meza, Alliyah Meza, Tiara Baker, Eric Baker. Friends are cordially invited to a visitation with the family from 5 – 7 pm Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Restwood Funeral Home with a Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 6:30 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am, Monday, August 12, 2013, at St. Jerome Catholic Church with Father Jim Lynes officiating. Burial will follow in the Restwood Memorial Park with her grandsons, Ben Perez, Ricardo Mario Meza, Daniel Meza, Tomas Chavez, Antonio Meza Jr., Moe Uddin and Isiaih Meza serving as pallbearers.
