Oh daddy, how I will miss you. I will miss that smile, the laugh and your silly dad jokes.  Thanks you for all the life lessons and for the beautiful memories that I will forever cherish.

One of the most memorable moments with Johnnie was at my wedding in 1976. As I let my new bride into the passenger side of the car, Johnnie jumped in the drivers side as if to steal my bride. He was and is a very special Father, Grandpa, Great Grandpa and friend. I believe I shall see him again but not yet, not yet! Jesus my Savior still has work for me to do.

I thank God for his life and his love for people. He was like a “fun” dad always! So gregarious and likable. 
He was the dad of my high school best friend, Sheila. 

Later, when I was out of high school and college, we would visit with Sheila and her mom and dad (my husband) David and myself with our young children. It was always a blast!

My Papa, my heart....It so difficult to believe you are gone!  Thank you for visiting me in my dreams.  It gave me such peace & knowing you are again with your honey is comforting.
You left such an impact on all of us & those who know you.  You will always be missed.

My Dad was always so welcoming and kind to anyone who walked into his home. He always  made sure that everyone was comfortable. I am so happy you are with mom again. I will miss you papa!! I love you! 

I loved my Papa. He was always the one that would get down and play with us kids when we were younger. I remember when I was little he took us took McDonald’s and I was playing on the play place and I was too scared to go down the big slide and nothing and no one was going to convince me otherwise. Then papa came all the way up to where I was and got me. I love and miss him so so much. I love you papa

Daddy, miss you so very much. You are my heart and soul. You are so loved. Your spirit still roams this house. Many memories made here. 
It’s was the first time making tamales with out you for Christmas. I’m sure you were watching our every step.

We are so Greatful to have had the opportunity to live in the same lifetime of Our dear Uncle. 
My Uncle Johnny will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Johnnie (aka Papa) was the best grandpa ever. He always played with us, took us on walks to the park, cooked delicious meals, and spoiled us all the time. Papa was so cuddly, and when he kissed me, his mustache would tickle. I’m jealous of my older cousins that got him for longer. I will miss him dearly.

Hello I am one of my papas aka jonnies  great grandchildren I just wanna say that. I wish I could’ve saw him before he passed and let him know I loved him one last time and hugged,kissed him one last time. but I’m sure that he already knew that I loved him just like I know he loved me.  But I know that he has joined my nana up there and they both are happy and watching over all of us -Mathew Lafayette 

With heavy hearts we say goodbye to a beloved family member.  We’ll remember his spirit for life, love and family and his love for good jokes. We are blessed to have been a part of his stories in life. We will miss you dearly Uncle Johnny. Rest in paradise.
