Gene Hill, age 85, of Fresno, California entered into rest on Friday, January 19, 2024.
Gene married the love of his wife Wanda on July 25, 1958. He joined the Air Force in 1958, he served for 3 yrs, 11 months and 22 days.
Gene loved spending time with his family, camping, fishing and going to the beach. After retirement Gene and Wanda traveled through the United States,volunteering many hours at campgrounds and animal shelters, including Hensley Lake and Pine Flat Lake. Gene never met a stranger.
Some of Gene's hobbies included fishing and woodworking.
Gene is survived by his wife Wanda of 65 years; his daughter Robin and husband Ron; his daughter Catherine and husband Quintin; his daughter Donna and husband Dean.
Gene was preceded in death by his son Ronald Gene Hill; his father Horace Hill; his mother Vivian Butler; his brother Phillip Hill and his brother Pleas Butler
Gene also leaves behind 9 grandchildren; Heather, Jake, Samantha, Shawn, Matthew, Justin, Tiffani, Ricky and Ronald and 2 Great Grandchildren; Elizabeth and Madeline.
A Visitation for Gene will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the Boice Funeral Home, 308 Pollasky Avenue, Clovis, CA 93612.
A Graveside Service will occur Monday, February 5, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Sanger Cemetery, 586 South Rainbow Avenue, Sanger CA 93657.
