MSgt Hal Christopherson, 73, passed away peacefully at Clovis Community Medical Center on August 20th, 2022 surrounded by family. Hal was a decorated Veteran who dedicated 24 years of his life to the United States Air Force and volunteered to defend our Nation's freedoms and made sacrifices on our behalf.
Hal was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Anna Christopherson, sister and brother-in-law Kathleen and Kenneth Dillinger, and brother Douglas.
He is survived by his son Michael, daughter and son-in-law Michelle and Randy Thomas, granddaughter Melody Thomas, sister and brother-in-law Lynelle and Frank Melfe, nieces, nephews, cousins and best friend Larry Green.
When Hal retired, he devoted most of his time at the Fresno VA Community Living Center, calling bingo numbers, sponsored events and provided supplies to the coffee shop for his Brothers-and Sisters-in Arms. Hal was also a life member of the American Veterans Post 2011 Clovis, National Rifle Association of America and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8900. His friends will miss him more than words can say.
We mourn the loss of our father and encourage any and all who knew him to remember the beauty he brought to this world. Hal was incredibly generous, tenderhearted with a kind soul, a gentle giant to ever walk this earth.
Hal will be forever loved and his memory forever remembered. My daddy requested no services be held and that his ashes be laid to rest at sea, by his children, but we do appreciate your love and support during this difficult time.
