Ethel M. Friesen

Ms. Ethel Mae Friesen was born in Clinton, Oklahoma to parents, Wesley Paul and Clara Marie Friesen on January 25, 1948. Their first five children. In 1954, the Friesen's moved to Fresno, California. There Ethel graduated from McLane High School in june of 1966. Upon graduating, Ethel worked at Valley Medical Centers as a clerk. She later transfered to work for the Fresno County Library in downtown Fresno as a librarian. Ethel worked for the library for 40 years before retiring in August of 2008.

Ethel loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed collecting stamps and coins, and doing photography. She also loved to spend time with her dog and cat. Ethel also liked to travel when she had the time.

Ethel passed away on February 21, 2012 at Clovis Community Medical Center. She is survived by her mother, Clara Friesen; her sisters, Judy Friesen and Wanda Sepetjian; her brother, Don Friesen; her nieces, Jessica Sepetjian and Yvette Sepetjian; brother- in-law, Richard Sepetjian; and sister- in-law, Linda Friesen. She was predeceased by her father, Wesley Friesen; and her brother, Ron Friesen.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Ethel Friesen's name.
