Steve loved his country. Born and raised in Hamtramck, he served in the Vietnam War as an Armored Crewman. After his honorable discharge, Steve reenlisted into the Army Reserves for over 16 years, ending his military career as Sergeant 1st Class.
He loved his family as much as he did fishing, hunting, traveling and enjoying ice cream. He was a master Euchre player and appreciated time with close friends. Steve was able to enjoy 6 years of retirement from Chrysler Stamping Plant (20 years) and prior from Wayne Engineering (Edward C. Levy).
Steve is survived by his wife, Pamela (Tabor) Wojcik aka his big boned woman. Children: Julia (John) Wunderler, Caroline Wojcik, Randi Wojcik, Ryan Wojcik and Milo Wojcik. Grandchild: Aidan. Siblings: Thaddeus (TJ) Wojcik, Lillian (Larry) Harper, Richard (Michele) Wojcik. Numerous nieces and nephews. Mother-In-Law (Mamusia): Bonnie Tabor
Steve would want everyone to just “Maintain” as “this is no place for a nervous person”. Please raise your glass, toast the man- bubba duck.
A Celebration of life will be held for family and close friends at a later date.
Donations can be made in Steve’s memory to a Veteran’s charity of your choice or St. Labre Indian School.
