Ruth was born in Detroit, Michigan on December 27, 1928 to the late Louis and Bertha Nieman. She married E. Jack Morris on August 9, 1946. Ruth graduated from St. Joseph School of Nursing and worked as an LPN for many years. After her retirement from nursing, she worked as a product demonstrator. Ruth was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in St. Clair, Michigan and was active with the Eastern Stars and the Council on Aging-Washington Life Center.
Beloved wife of the late E. Jack Morris; loving mother of Linda (the late Thomas) Thornton, Richard (Jamie) Morris, and Frederick (Wendy) Morris; proud grandmother of Mark (Cathy) Thornton, Gregory (Mysty Berry) Thornton, Max (Monica) Morris, Ashira (Ian) Morris, Jack Morris, and Bayla Morris; five great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, E. Jack Morris; parents, Louis and Bertha Nieman; siblings: Melvin (Sally) Nieman, Lorraine (Glenn) Elle, Gerald (Helen) Nieman, Lenore (Charles) Memmer, Lloyd (Lillian) Nieman; son-in-law, Thomas Thornton; and grandson, Adam Morris.
The family will greet guests from 10:00 am until time of funeral service at 12:00 noon on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., Michigan. Interment following at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Twp. Michigan.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions in Ruth's honor be directed to the Washington Life Center, 403 N. Mary, Marine City, Michigan 48039.
