Leona J. Akin

Leona J. Akin passed away on December 24, 2020 at the age of 89. She was the loving wife of the late Odell Franklin Akin, Husband for 44 years. She is survived by her son Bruce (Melissa) Akin; grandchildren Derek Akin, Stephanie Akin, Bryce Akin, and Samantha Akin; siblings Delphine Sears and Ronald Mazza.

Leona enjoyed watching Western TV shows and movies. Play board games, play practical jokes, and loved to tell stories. She was very proud of being a stay at home mom. Her love and strength will be remembered by all who knew her.

Visitation for Leona will take place on Friday, January 8 from 4 to 8pm at Resurrection Funeral Home, 40800 Hayes Road in Clinton Township. A Funeral Service will be held privately.
