Beloved husband of the late Mary, who preceded him in death in 1990; the late Barbara, who preceded him in 2021; adored father of Rita (David) Klik and Rhonda Hubbard; grandpa of Zachary James Shevsky; step-father of Gail Bailey and the late Gregory Rospierski; dearest friend of Sharon Coffey; brother of the late Peter, Paul, Mary, and Robert; son of the late Robert, Sr. and Mary Hubbard.
James was born in New Baltimore, Michigan on August 13, 1929. He proudly served his country with the US Army. James was a devout Catholic and an active member of the Knights of Columbus. He could often be found tinkering in his garage, gardening, refurbishing holy statues, and collecting lighthouses. He was loved and admired by his family and friends.
The family will greet guests from 1:00pm to 8:00pm with a 7:00pm Rosary and Knights of Columbus service, followed with a memory share on Sunday, August 13, 2023 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., Michigan. Funeral Mass will take place at 10:00am on Monday, August 14 at St. Paul of Tarsus Catholic Church, 41300 Romeo Plank, Clinton Twp. In State from 9:30am until time of Mass. Private inurnment at a later date.
