Jacqueline Annette Simpson (Hunter), 82 years old, died January 8, 2012 at St. Johns Hospital in Detroit, MI with her family by her side. She was the daughter of the late Clifford and Agnes Hunter and sister of the late Robert Skoda. Jackie, as she was known by family and friends, was born September 21, 1929 in Detroit. She was a resident of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI for 51 years. She was the loving, devoted wife of Robert Lee Simpson who passed away in 2005. She had three sons, the late John (Michelle), Timothy (Maureen) and Robert (Virginia). She has six grandchildren (Bob, Natalie, Roxanne, Mary, Valerie, Laura and two great grandchildren. Jackie was a beautiful, loving and nurturing sole. Her life-long passion was singing. She will be missed by the many lives she touched. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 14th at the Grosse Pointe Congregational Church, 240 Chalfonte Ave., Grosse Pointe, MI, 48236.
