Dorothy worked in various manufacturing, service and quality inspection occupations in the Detroit area while raising her family of six children. Amid a busy work schedule, Dorothy introduced her children to the cultural and historical offerings in the Detroit area in order to broaden their horizons and expand their visions.
Dorothy was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and good friend. She was a devout Roman Catholic who prayed the rosary daily and a life-long learner who proudly received her high school equivalency (G.E.D.) in 1977. While she lived most of her life in the Detroit area, she retired to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1986 and returned back to Michigan in 2004. She is remembered for the lightness of her laughter, generous candy sharing, and extending warmth and kindness to everyone.
Preceded by Raymond, her devoted and loving husband of 68 years.
