Beloved husband of Terena "Sue" for 38 years; loving father of Brittney (Nicholas); dear brother of Laura, Jean, Sandy, Eric, and Brenda; uncle of Racheal, Jessica, Heather, Jared, Nathan, Leslie, Elizabeth, Jenna, Alex, Eric, and Kayla; also survived by many extended family members; and beloved pets, Ellie and Dusty.
Don was born in Detroit on January 21, 1956 to Donald and Gail Blackman. He proudly served his country with the Navy, serving on the USS Benjamin Stoddert. He married Terena "Sue" on December 20, 1986 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Don enjoyed hunting, camping, musical instruments, and computers. He was an avid reader and enjoyed vacations to Copper Harbor in the Upper Peninsula.
The family will greet guests from 11:00am until time of memorial service with military honors at 2:00pm on Friday, December 27, 2024 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., Michigan.
