Carol Jean McLaren

Carol was born November 30, 1941 in Iron Mountain, Michigan. She loved long rides by the water, live performances and going to the theatre. She enjoyed going out to eat, especially when her belated grandson Mathew which they had a special relationship. He would also pick her up for lunch and then to the movies. Carol adored her group home ladies. Carol also enjoyed the "friendship house". She especially loved visiting her daughter Brenda for extended stays. Carol also enjoyed her daughter Sherry coming into town and spoiling her rotten. Debbie is her daughter that passed away but also enjoyed the times she would pick her up on Sundays to go to church and to spend the day with her family.

Carol is survived by her children: Sherelene Robinson, Brett (Tori) Robinson, and Brenda (the late David) River; 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren that made her face light up; and siblings: Pat (Frank) Aldridge, Barbara (Ken) Roland, and Gerald (Diane) Lawson; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. She was preceded in death by her son, Wayne Robinson; daughter, Debbie Robinson; grandson, Mathew Long; and parents, Harold and Althea Lawson.
