I cannot share just ONE memory about my dad.  I called him "Pops" and he was the best father that I could ever have hoped for.  We shared breakfast together with my brother Mark every Wednesday morning at the Wildflower Café on Garfield.  

Dad was truly a man of Character and Faith.  He ADORED my Mother and was ready to walk with her, hand in hand in Heaven.  We sat together in the same spot at Church every Sunday and he was always so proud when the whole family took up an entire row.  

He LOVED his grandkids and great grandkids.  He totally lit up when his four son's played sports and supported us with positive motivation every step of the way.  

Growing up, Dad woke us up for Church every Sunday morning by blasting Neil Diamond music as loud as necessary to get us up and out of bed.  Dad and Mom loved going to shows at the Macomb Center and it didn't seem to matter what the show was.  They would stop for Coney Dogs and get there early.  The two of them would sit in their car and eat before the show.  MY GOD...he missed my Mother so much!!!

Dad spent a little more than two years serving in the United States Coast Guard from 1959 to 1962 but it may as well been 20 years because he Loved his country and our Military.  He flew the American Flag proudly.  He wore his U.S. Coast Guard hat, his Navy Dad, Air Force Dad and Navy Grandpa shirts like they were finely tailored suits.  

My father always gave back.  From taking a kid into our home, leading Cub Scouts, Coaching Little League, Lecturing at Church, teaching Confirmation and leading the RCIA to his donations to his favorite charities, St. Jude and Shriners Hospital for Children.   What an AMAZING Role Model us four boys had for a father.

I could fill this entire page up with the memories of my Dad, but I will let my brothers tell you more.

My heart is hurting so much right now but I KNOW...he is where he wants to be.  GOD BLESS DAD!!!
