MURPHY, Arthur Warren, of Harrison Twp., passed away on January 15, 2019 at 91 years of age. Beloved husband of the late Gloria for 68 years; adored father of Karen (Tony) Cuneo and Michael (Linda) Murphy; proud grandpa of Colleen, Matthew, Michael, Daniel, and Sean and great-grandpa of Audra, Rose, William, Sloan, Paige, and Josephine; dear brother of Nona Credelle, the late Robert and Jim Murphy, and the late George and Robert Walters.
Arthur was born on August 6, 1927 in Clearfield, PA to the late Walter and Margaret (nee Walters) Murphy. He proudly served his country during World War II with the Merchant Marines, honorably discharged with the Coast Guard. He retired after many years of loyal service as a Detroit Police Office, and then as an Agent with the State Office of the Inspector General.
Family will greet friends from 3:00pm-8:00pm on Monday, January 21, 2019 at Kaul Funeral Home, 35201 Garfield Rd., Clinton Twp., MI. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, January 22 2019 at the above location. Visitation from 10:30am until time of service at 11:00am. Interment with military honors following at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East, Clinton Twp.
