Vivian Smith Foster, 91, passed away Monday, September 10, 2012 at Crossgates River Oaks Hospital in Brandon, MS. Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00pm Tuesday, September 11, 2012, form the Chapel of Wright and Ferguson Funeral Home in Clinton, MS. Visitation will begin at 11:00am and internment will follow the service in Cedar Lawn
Cemetery in Jackson.
Mrs. Foster was born November 18, 1920, in Prentiss, MS. She married Robert T. Foster, Sr. on June 30, 1940 and relocated to Jackson, MS where she was a homemaker and lived the remainder of her life. She was a member of Calvary Baptist church.
Mrs. Foster was preceded in death by her husband Robert T. Foster Sr., Son Robert T. Foster, Jr., Parents Henry Luther and Tina Elma Griffith Smith, Sister Mazie L. Dyer, brothers Quentin F. Smith and Leland Smith.
Survivors include a daughter Gloria Foster Moore (Tommy) of Terry, MS; grandchildren Vivian Lynn Hensley (Alan) of Montgomery, AL, Cathleen Ann Huff (Gene) of Terry, MS; great grandchildren Christopher Aaron Peters (Suzy) of Montgomery, AL, David Michael Peters (Luisa) of Montgomery, AL, Jamie Renay Rawlinson (Josh) of Prattville, AL, Josephine Elizabeth Huff and Lewis Clyde Huff of Terry, MS; great-great grandchildren Emily Renay Hicks Rawlinson of Prattville, Al and Carson Alan Peters of Montgomery, AL; sisters –in-law Maude Foster Brannon of Madison, MS and Patricia Foster Thompson of St. Petersburg, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
