I only learned of Bill's passing today (June 1) when I read of it in a Syracuse University newsletter. Bill was a fraternity brother and my best friend at Syracuse and for a long time afterward. I was an usher at his first wedding and attended his marriage to Mary. We were out of touch for a while but reconnected a few years ago when a mutual friend died. He sent me CDs of his music and we talked about writing a musical or opera together. I am so sorry to hear of his death. 

I miss our climate change discussions.  I hope Bill is working on the Green New Deal!

My impression of Bill Condon was a pleasant level-headed guy.    Sincere in his approach to life..he exuded a sense of humor, balanced with common sense .  I am certain that Dave will miss the relationship they shared...Bill  was a fine role-model and a good man. 

I'm so sorry.  Over the years, Bill and I had many political discussions, especially regarding climate change.  We also discussed music as he loved my band, The Galvanized Jazz Band. I've known Bill's wife, Mary, since I was 10 years old.  I have been emailing Bill for weeks now, but no response.  It was by accident that I found his obituary.  I wish someone would contact me.  I don't even know whether or not Mary has passed.  I did visit her about two years ago, and we had a nice conversation about the past.  Mary was my brother's girlfriend when I was a youngster.  I'm going to miss talking with Bill. May he rest in peace.

Always enjoyed his droll humor. In fact I still chuckle at the memory of a few of his quips.

Bill was a very special person to have as a friend. Many knew him for his skills at basketball and golf but Bill also had an interest in writing musical compositions. Bill said that he had no formal training in composing music, but when you listened to some of the CDs he made, he showed a real talent in organizing and composing some very interesting original compositions. Bill would ask me to listen to his compositions and give him feedback. He was always looking to try new things and he was an important part of ( the Silver Bullets) senior basketball team for many years. He left us with many beautiful memories. How many people can play basketball in their 80's 3 times a week?
