Clinton, CT – Virginia E. Daniels, of Clinton, CT, January 4, 1942, to May 17, 2022, mother, and grandmother, and lifetime USCG Auxiliarist, passed from complications due to stroke and sarcoidosis aged 80 years. Born and raised in Mamaroneck, NY, she attended Sargent College of Health & Rehabilitation Sciences, Boston University graduating in 1963, BS Physical Education, and taught at Portchester Middle School until 1972. In additional to being an owner/operator of Paramount Taxi, she was office manager for several marinas in Mamaroneck. Ginny has been one of the longest continuously serving USCG Auxiliarists in the organization's history, 54 years, serving in numerous Flotilla and Division Staff and Command positions, primarily in Flotilla 63, now 75 in Mamaroneck NY, later in Flotilla 24-8 Clinton, CT, until her passing. Ginny was recognized for work not only during the critical weeks after 911, but for outstanding flotilla and division publications which she has done almost continuously since joining the Auxiliary in 1968. Ginny has served as the Genealogist for the Kelsey Kindred the past 10 years. Member of the Order of the Eastern Star since 1960. Preceded by her husband Albert W. Daniels, Jr., survived by her daughters Meredith and Jennifer, and granddaughter Kelsey.
