Bernie was born October 11, 1925 in Fall River, Massachusetts, the son of the late Aldei and Cena (Maynard) Ledoux.
Bernie graduated from Prevost High School in Fall River, class of 1944. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Air Force. He previously resided in Woonsocket, Rhode Island and was married to Joan (Rogers) in 1960 before moving to Clinton with their daughters in 1966. Bernie was employed by Stop & Shop as a truck driver before retiring in 1995. He enjoyed NASCAR and watching WWE wrestling. Bernie will be remembered for his outgoing and giving nature.
Bernie is survived by his two daughters, Michelle Ledoux of Clinton and Suzanne Ledoux-Ewart and husband William of Ivoryton; three grandsons, Drake, Connor and Pierce; brother-in-law Paul Giroux; nephews Bernard and Claude Giroux all of Massachusetts, as well as many dear friends.
Bernie was predeceased by his wife, Joan, in 1994 and his sister, Jeanine Giroux in 2010.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Church in Clinton at 11:00 AM on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
