He is the beloved husband of four years to Carmela (nee Pirozzoli); loving father of Gabriel Luis and Evelyn Rose Garcia; son-in-law of Alberto (deceased) and Rosa Pirozzoli; brother-in-law of Nicola Pirozzoli and Amalia (William) Luna and dear uncle of Alberto Luna.
Although born in New York, Luis was a Cleveland sports fanatic. He loved the Cleveland Browns, Cavaliers and Indians. His number one team was The Ohio State Buckeyes. Luis never missed a UFC fight and was grateful he was able to experience sitting cage-side with his wife when a title fight came to Cleveland in 2016.
Luis was the definition of a family man. He prided himself in working hard to provide while spending quality time with his wife and children. There was nothing he loved more than a night at home watching TV or a movie with his family. Once diagnosed with ALS in June 2020, he retired from his position as a Police Lieutenant at the Cleveland Water Department and spent the rest of his days at home enjoying the company of his children, wife and in-laws. Although ALS shortened his time on this Earth, his love and memory will remain forever.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 18, 2022 from 5PM-8PM at Corrigan Craciun Funeral Home, 14768 Lorain Ave., Cleveland 44111. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 at Blessed Trinity, 14040 Puritas Ave, Cleveland at 11 AM where family will receive friends 10 AM until time of Mass.
Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Brook Park.
