Charles Davis Jr. affectionately known as “Chucky” was born on August 15, 1956 to Charles Davis Sr., and Ada Davis of Mt. Holly, New Jersey. He passed away October 17, 2023 in Cleveland, Ohio.
As a young boy, Charles was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Burlington County Council. He learned to hunt with hunting dogs and fish with his dad. As a young adult, Charles loved to ride minibikes and later became interested in Hot Rods. Charles attended East Technical High school, and later he received his GED.
Charles married Bessie Pasley, but they were later divorced. His inherited children from his marriage were Ywantru Pasley, Darnell Redd Jr. and Denita Redd.
He was a member of Light and Liberty Church where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in 2002 by Bishop Melvin Warren. He loved the Lord and with his wife they
became members of the Performing Arts Department of Light of Liberty Church where they were actors in the Christmas Play.
He became the licensed owner of a used car lot with his then wife Bessie called B&C Auto Sales. Charles was a fun loving person who loved to spend time with many of his family and friends. Many of his friendships have lasted.
Charles was very fond of music attending several concerts, he also loved dogs and he loved children. His hobbies included boating, fishing, raising dogs, fixing up automobiles, riding in nice cars and roller skating.
Charles will be greatly missed by all of his family and dear friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents Ada and Charles Davis Sr., and brother, Charles Cornelius Davis Sr.
He leaves to honor is life, step mother, Carolyn J. Davis, siblings, Cassandra, Valerie D. (Brian) Lumbus and Dana, nieces, Tanekia, Brittany, Briana (Tommie), Simone, Zana, Nephews, Lil Man, Sherron, Marquis, Dkhare, Cameron, nephews DeShaun, Jamir and Quinton. Aunts, Pecola Austin of Mt. Holly NJ, Clara Davis of Milledgesville, GA, uncle, Nathaniel Green of Jacksonville, FL, great aunt Eula M. Springer of Beachwood, special friends, Robert Smart, Stanley Hall, Eddie and Hope Acoff, Fred Cleveland, CC,
Cocoa, Lavelle Smith, Norman Claxton, Hollywood and many relatives from states of Washington, New Jersey, Georgia, Florida, and Ohio.
A visitation for Charles will be held Friday, October 27, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cummings & Davis Funeral Home, 13201 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A wake will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44112. A funeral service will occur Saturday, October 28, 2023 at 11:00 AM, 13201 Euclid Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio 44112. An interment private will occur.
