I am very shocked and sad to learn of Phil's death.  Our parents were close friends.  

I last saw Phil on a visit to Cleveland in 2017 and he was the same old Phil.  I can not remember him without a smile on his face.

Please accept our condolences on the passing of Phil. He lit up our day with his delightful radio programs. How often he mentioned us on the show just to give a compliment. He was fun, funny, warm and caring. We loved his contests, the music, his guests,  and the Divrei Torah by local Rabbonim. As you know so we'll, there can never be another Phil Fink. In the world of Jewish broadcasting and music , Phil was a visionary and a showman. His unique voice and warm personality enhanced his outstanding radio show. The format was always right on the pulse of what could be called the best of Jewish music both past and present. Phil was always a pleasure to see and to converse with.

The image I will always recall of Phil is watching his love for and pride in his beloved life's partner Gale. I enjoyed seeing them out and about town, always together. Shawn, you are blessed to have inherited your father s radio voice, and many talents. I know how much he enjoyed watching you perform and building upon his legacy.

I always loved running into you at MP and was especially grateful to Phil for always greeting and conversing with  my dad in Yiddish. 

Phil was smart and funny and loved his whole family, kvelling about each  of you frequently.  He had joie de vivre.

I was especially touched to  learn that he mentioned my dad's passing and "tauchter" on his program . What a mensch.
