Molly faced life with characteristic practicality and a wonderful sense of humor. Her 72-year journey was filled with adventure, passionate interests, countless friendships and time with family whom she considered her greatest gift and legacy. Molly was born May 24,1941 to Allan "Al" and Esther Cohen in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She grew up in East Liverpool, Ohio. She always had a soft spot for her hometown and for some, however not all, of the lasting friends from there, Beth, Betsy, Bill, Carol, Charita, David, Dick, Karen, Judy, Mike, and TR. Throughout her high school years, she was proud to belong to several clubs and organizations and especially to participate in dance and the shows ''Brigadoon" and "Oklahoma". She graduated from East Liverpool (OH) High School in 1959. After graduating from Ohio State University in Speech Science, she was hired by the Hearing and Speech Center of Dayton and Montgomery County as a Speech and Hearing Therapist. She was especially grateful for the lessons learned from her bosses, Robert, Schmidt, Vern Stroud and Mel Emmanuel. Her first clients were 18 month old deaf children whom she adored. Later in life she learned sign language in addition to the lip reading and language skills that she taught the. The later years took her to Hershey Montessori School in Concord, Ohio where she was the assistant teacher with dear friend, Jeanne Catalano, a Speech Pathologist and started teaching sign language to the 1st through 3rd grade students and created Molly's Mini-Art Museum for children 5-12 years old which she was very proud of. Molly was a woman of numerous abilities and interests. Throughout her life she had a deep love for nature and photography and passed on that love to her children and grandchildren. Thanks in part to her second mother, Elsa Rubin, an art major, her good friend, Bill, an ASID designer and her father, she had an eye for color and detail. One of her greatest joys was to become a mother and grandmother and to share her life with David, her husband of 30 years, and to be in Maine and to travel around the world with him. One of her favorite pastimes was to observe nature, follow anything to do with art, reading a variety of genres of books and the theater. She loved cooking/baking and experimenting with recipes. She was deeply curious about the world and would research various subjects from architecture to zebras even more so with the advent of the computer. Chatting was also a passion; at the bank or supermarket, or on the phone with friends or family members. Besides her parents, Molly was predeceased by a brother who died at infancy. She is survived by her husband, David, of Naples, Florida and Boothbay Harbor, Maine; son Corey (Amy F.) Dubin of Gahanna, Ohio, daughter, Jenny (Josh) Bricker of New Albany, Ohio, daughter, Amy B. Dubin of Portland,Oregon. She is also survived by her "second children", Stephanie (George) DiPaolo and Michael (Taya) Levin. The grandchildren, who survived, brought her joy and beautiful memories, Isabelle DiPaolo, Miranda DiPaolo, Joshua Dubin, Emily Dubin, Lex Levin, Ava Levin and Shoshanna Bricker. She is also survived by her Sister-in-law, Grecia and brother-in-law, Ronald Gross, Stamford, Ct.; nephews, Brad (Stephanie and Ben) Gross, of New York City and Bennett (Jackie, Eli and Anders) of San Diego, CA. In addition, she is survived by special first cousins, Myrna Dettelbach (Tom), Jack (Loretta) Cohen, Shelley (Harvey) Handler, Susie (Gary) Rozanczyk and Lori Linder; Stein and Gersman families, cousins from around the country, nieces, nephews, extended family and many beloved friends. At her request, remember to laugh and laugh some more, find new adventures every day and the glass is always half full as you take your own journeys through life. You are invited to share condolences, memories and photos with the family at a time of your choosing as long as you bring some chocolate or L&B donuts in her memory. Chocolate is, after all, a dietary supplement. Funeral services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. Taylor Rd., Cleveland Hts, OH on Sunday, December 8 at 10:30 AM. Interment will take place in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, 27855 Aurora Rd., Solon, OH.
