Hi Marvin:   you were always in our  thought .  Friend ship is for ever , not when were working Hospital .  I was thinking to call you 3-4 days ago . I got this news ,Asha&me were shocked rather surprised .    Not only you were great friend , but obviously was an wonderful family person, Loving husband, father, grandpa ; more over great physician !  Your sense of Humor was memorable .   Never forgot your large Tomato to CCU in hospital & in FB . RIP Marvin.

Marvin - Thank you for being a mentor, friend and neighbor 

My family has fond memories of Marvin and his family., especially during our time as neighbors for many years in Penn Farms. Our neighborhood was a family and all of us kids grew up together. Marvin always enjoyed garden talk with my Dad discussing tomatoes and pumpkins. He will always be fondly remembered as a good friend and neighbor. Our condolences to Judy, Kevin and Jonathan and their families during this difficult time.

We share the sorrow of so many who had the privilege to call Marvin their friend. 
I will always cherish memories of him as a colleague for more than three decades, were I saw his wisdom and keen foresight. And our many Wednesday tennis nights.
It is our hope that the sweet passing of time becomes your healing balm and your memories remain with you for ever.

For 26 years Marvin would help Judi Sue bring student snacks to Student Day 3 of "Celebrate Diversity " at Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School.  I would be there helping to set up the cafeteria. Marvin would drive around back to unload supplies. He would smile and wave,  I  would bring out the cart and he would unload supplies and bring it in to the cafeteria where I would set it up.   He would talk about cooking chemistry science,  pumpkins and tomatoes and the seeds he was preparing for his garden.  Last year I had purchased his book on "Giant Tomatoes " and had hoped to ask him to sign it on Student Day 3, but COVID-19 made it impossible. I  will always remember his kindness and sense of humor.   His devotion to Judi Sue and support for the program she led.  May his memory be for blessing. ❤

I recall visiting the Meisner homestead once upon many years ago and being struck by Dr. Meisner's acumen and pride in his bread-making! Our sincere condolences to the Meisner family for the passing of Marvin.

I met Dr. Meisner; in his garden when I was about 9 years old.  Dr. Meisner was the first adult to speak to me in a way that I was involved in a discussion, not speaking to me in a typical manner of an adult to a child. He was genuine, and I sincerely appreciate the patience and interest that he gave in answering my many questions.

It was a pleasure knowing Marvin and working with him.He helped save my life after a heart attack and cardiac arrest and was my cardiologist for many years. He also provided outstanding advice which helped me run my gastroenterology practice 

While I did not know Marvin, I know his son Kevin very well and can   only imagine what a good person he was knowing Kevin and his family.  Our condolences to the family.

When Gerry and l moved from Stonehenge the thing we missed most were our neighbors, especially Marvin and his wonderful Garden. The  pumpkins were spectacular, the tomatoes were delicious. After moving we always circled to see the garden progress. We will miss our good friend. The Murrays
