Margie was a member of The Temple-Tifereth Israel, and a board member of The Temple-Tifereth Israel Temple Women's Association. She was a past vice-president of Canton Realty Development and former executive, and felt great pride in her family's business, Canton Barrel & Bag Company, and Canton Container. She served as a board member of the American Jewish Committee and a board member of the Jewish Family Service Association.
Her community work included volunteering at the Gathering Place and in various areas of University Hospitals of Cleveland She was a former member of the Junior League of Cleveland and the Oakwood Club.
Born in Canton, Ohio, Margie was a graduate of Old Trail School, Bath, Ohio and Katherine Gibbs College, Boston, Massachusetts. She moved to Shaker Heights in 1977 Margie enjoyed being with her family and friends, traveling, following the stock market and volunteering her time
Margie was predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Ralph Heller of Canton, and is survived by her daughters, Amy (Harlan) Goldman and Laurie (Daniel) Goetz. Adored "Grammy" of Rachel, Joshua and Tyler Goetz, Ashley and Carley Goldman.
Services will be held Sunday, January 28 at 1:30 PM. at the BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL 1985 S. Taylor Rd. Cleveland Heights, Ohio. Interment Mayfield Cemetery.
