I met Lisa in 1996 working at Children and Family Services. We both were social workers assigned to the same unit. Lisa was about 23 years old and very small and petite. The children loved her and thought she was cool, they felt they could open up to her, especially the teenagers. I remember once she had to visit a teenager at school, and when she walked into the high school, a teacher mistook her for a student and told her to get to class. She had to show her ID to prove she was not a student.
Lisa excelled as a social worker because she truly cared about the families, children and later the senior adults that she helped. She touched so many lives and there are so many families, children and senior adults whose lives were changed for the better because of Lisa.  Anyone who knew Lisa knew she had a big heart, and that included her love of animals. She loved her cats and rescued most (if not all) of them from off the streets, working as a social worker. She even named one of her cats after the street where she found him, “Quincy” (after Quincy Ave). There was nothing she wouldn’t do for her fur babies.  
Lisa also loved being an aunt. She loved and was very proud of her nephews, Reed and Nico, and she talked about them all the time.
 I will cherish the many years we had and memories we made together talking and laughing, and I will remember the times we cried together. Lisa was there when both my mom and my dad passed away, and I was there with her when she lost her dad.  
She was my best friend, and I was hers and I know her family and friends will miss her terribly. Lisa was kind, loving, and one of a kind.

Deepest condolences on your loss.  This is hard to deal with and memories will always be there for you to cherish.

So very sorry to hear of Lisa's passing. She recently spent some time with me, trying to help me deal with the passing of my beloved, Brent. I was grateful to have her support. She also spent some time visiting my late mom-in-law, Dorothy, which I know made Mom very happy. She was a sweet person and will be missed.

So sorry to hear about Lisa’s passing. Anita and Debbie, you  were a wonderful mother and sister  to her and I know Lisa will be missed.  May the fond memories  sustain you through this difficult time
