HOWARD MOSS, age 89, died July 4, 2012. A World War II Army Veteran, he received a Purple Heart and was a Bronze Star recipient. He was on the beach at Normandy and was in The Battle of The Bulge and related battles. A lifelong Cleveland resident, Moss retired in 1996 after a successful career in real estate sales. At the time of his death, he was a resident of Solon Pointe Assisted Living Center. Brother of Gertrude Moss, Helen Moss, Lillian Bloch, Dorothy Kanner and Frances Spyke (all deceased); uncle of Herb Spyke, Ben Spyke, Stanley Bloch, Eileen Abraham and Sheldon Spyke (deceased); great-uncle and great-great-uncle to many; cousin of Joyce Landeau. Services will be held at BERKOWITZ-KUMIN-BOOKATZ MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 1985 S. TAYLOR RD., CLEVELAND HTS., on Wednesday, July 11 at 9 A.M. Interment Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. Contributions may be made to the charity of choice.
