Harvey you were a very special man. I’m sure not everyone knew you were an artist but we had your paintings hung for years in Aubrie and Aliza’s playroom.  Now you are gone and I will always cherish our fun trips to get something crazy Michelle sent us out to get even if it were as simple as bagels or pickles at Corkey and Lenny’s (one of my favorite spots). And Harvey you know you have to have everything to perfections when we all meet up again. God Bless you all.

Harvey Rosen- My Dad- My best friend for most of my childhood life. He called me Thanny when I was little( that’s not to be started back up by anyone). He and I were inseparable when I was a kid. He introduced me to quite a bit in a relatively short amount of time. Dirt bikes, bikes, weight lifting, movies... One amazing rather many amazing memories were the restaurants we’d go to. They were as diverse as the frequency we’d go to them. High end, low end, diners, deli’s, Italian, Jewish, Japanese, French, healthy, greasy, breakfast, lunch, dinner, you name it...5am runs to Murray Hill to get Presti’s hot and fresh in Harvey Kay’s vintage convertible Mercedes, making my own pies at Irv’s while my dad did who knows what... My love for food and the experience we shared is what led me to be a professional certified chef during a time in my life I just realized. Dad was a pretty good cook too, from what I recall. Your candor, your wit, your dry sense of humor, your intensity, yeah I got those too. You gave me lots and you took a lot, but I will chose to remember the good stuff. Harvey Rosen- a Renaissance man, as I’ve come to find out... well liked, respected, and loved by many friends and family. Rest well, rest well. 

 Michelle I’m very sorry for your loss I pray comfort and strength for you. I’m glad you had each other for so long.

 To my brothers and sister I hope your hearts find peace in his passing.

Harvey, where do I begin. I have known you all my life, since you were my second cousin.   Your laugh and smile lit up a room! You looked so much like Aunt Chub! We had lost touch over the years, life as they say, happened. But, I was lucky enough to be working at Alesci's and you walked up to the counter and I recognized you in a minute. I am so thankful we reconnected. Bill and I were very lucky to get to know you and spend so much time with you and Michelle.  It is safe to say we had A LOT of laughs over the years.  Remember when you wanted me to take the fish home in my purse, at the all you can eat fish fry. Really?? You are one of a kind! Thank you for being you! I am celebrating the beautiful life you had and all the joy you gave to so many! You will be missed, but never forgotten...cause you are Harv .. The man...The Myth. Just wanted to express my sincere sympathy to Harvey's family. I knew Harvey through my wife Toni's  family at Salerno family reunions and times we visited them over the years.  He was such a funny and kind person.  I always enjoyed our conversations about many subjects whenever we crossed paths.

Harvey was my older cousin, but during my adolescence he functioned like a generous big brother. He introduced me to foreign films and expresso , took me to my first ballet performance and hosted me for  the 1962 Ohio State Homecoming weekend. He opened my eyes to a world beyond Cleveland and encouraged me to go away to college.
I always felt a special warmth for Harv and gratitude for stoking my curiosity.
He was a notorious raconteur with a tremendous breadth of information.. Harvey could fill a room.

I have many memories of my time spent with Harvey. Our families spent quite a bit of time together celebrating the holidays, family events like birthdays , anniversaries,holiday dinners and my bar mitzvah. 
I spent time with Harv when he did some odd jobs helping his friends, a milk truck run, and the ice cream store. 
I wish Michelle who spent so much loving time with him comfort in this sad time. To Ben, Josh, Elizabeth and Nathaniel my condolences
