She was preceded in death by her husband Sam of 41 years. She leaves behind her daughter Teresa (Randy), two grandchildren, Brett (Jacey), Chase (Kela) and one great grandson Leyton. She was also preceded in death by her sister Sue. Her surviving brother is Glenn Jr (Katherine), many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. Patsy was born to Glenn Sr and Polly Pitts Shermer on August 30, 1933, in Winston-Salem. She and Sam moved to Clemmons in 1967.
Patsy was a receptionist at Baptist Hospital for 30 years before retiring to take care of Sam. They shared a love of camping in Airstreams and horses for many years. They were both members of Redland Pentecostal Church and loved their church family. Patsy would witness to all who would listen and shared her faith with great passion as a devoted Jesus Christ follower.
We would like to acknowledge and thank Trinity Elms Memory Care Unit for their kindness and care. Her friends there filled her days with conversation and companionship. The staff would dance with her, do her nails, fix her hair, bring her coffee and make her smile. And so, she continues at a new address among the heavenlies.
Her final resting place will be at Forsyth Memorial Park alongside Sam and other family members. To God be the Glory of her service here on earth, till we meet again.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.frankvoglerandsonsclemmons.com for the Davis family.
