Joseph was born in Brooklyn, New York on December 20, 1939 to the late Francis and Rosario Foti. From a young age, he loved animals. Early in his teens, he began training pigeons as a ‘pigeon mumbler’ from the roofs of New York. In his youth, Joseph loved spending time with his horses in Staten Island. He really loved all animals.
He began working as a lithographer in printing in his late teens. He carried on in printing for over 40 years. The highlight of Joseph’s career was printing the Play Bill. A fact he was eager to brag about very deservingly.
In his spare time, Joseph loved riding his motorcycle and cooking. He was a very talented cook.
In addition to his parents, Joseph is preceded in death by his son, Robert Foti, and sisters, Angela Aldini and Patricia Doria. Joseph leaves behind his wife of 20 years, Carol Foti; sons, Francis (Suzanne) Foti and Joseph (Gloria) Foti; grandchildren, Frank (Christy), Nicholas, Michael, Alix Ann, Santino, Alycia (Jose), Robert, James, Joseph, and Anthony; great grandchildren, Frank, Vincent, and Samuel; first wife, Rose Marie Foti; daughters-in-law, Florence Foti and Mary Grace Foti; best friends, Tommy (Dianne) Foli and Bobby (Gloria) Pizza; and many other loved ones and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
