Mrs. Diane Ardrey Hartman went peacefully to be with the Lord on Monday, March 17, 2014, after a seven year battle with cancer. She stood on God’s word of truth and fought the good fight of faith. She never let her sickness define who she was, always believing in the hope of being totally restored. In the end, she was and won the crown of eternal life.
Diane was born on May 26, 1970 in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. She was the wife, of Tony Hartman, of the home and the daughter, of Herndon “Sonny” and Mariruth Pyatt of Winston-Salem. She spent most of her young years growing up on the Outer Banks of North Carolina where she returned with her family for many wonderful vacations. She received an Associates’ Degree in Paralegal Technology from Forsyth Technical Community College and had been employed by Triad Guaranty. She attended Agape Faith Church in Clemmons, NC where she was involved in several ministries there and attended classes at Impact University. As a couple, they loved to travel to warm and sunny places, their favorite vacation spot being St. Bart’s Island. They were also blessed to make a dream trip to Israel several years ago. She loved her home and her dog Mia. Her sister, Jennifer Pyatt McManus, preceded her last year to the Savior’s Arms. In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by a sister, Ashley A. Pyatt of Winston-Salem; mother- in-law and father-in-law, Betty and Harold Hartman of Rural Hall; sister-in-law, Heather Foster and her husband, Chris of Winston-Salem, brother-in-law, Greg McManus of Stanly; four nephews, Keenan and Carson McManus and Wiley and Ewan Foster; niece, Tallulah Foster; her grandfather, L. W. McDowell of Powells Point, NC and many wonderful aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Agape Faith Church, 2101 Lewisville-Clemmons Road, Clemmons, NC Friday evening, March 21st at 7:00PM with visitation immediately following. Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Gardens of Memory, 6135 Ridgecrest Road, Clemmons, NC Saturday, March 22nd 12:00 PM, where she will rest beside her sister.
A special expression of gratitude goes out to all those who have come alongside her these years giving her encouragement, support and love.
