Terry Colston, 55, and his son, Robert Colston, 11, died as a result of injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident on Thursday, July 28. Terry was most well known for being an amazing husband, father, brother and friend. He was passionate about golf and an excellent player and student of the game. His primary focus was always on his family. Terry spent many years in the office equipment industry and as a consultant. Terry was raised in Sarasota, FL.
Robert had just completed 5th grade at Belcher Elementary where he had many friends and was adored by all. His smile could light up any room. Robert loved to have friends come to his home where they enjoyed many hours of manhunt, airsoft wars, swimming, and playing. He loved animals and especially his golden retriever and his cat. Both Terry and Robert will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include wife and mother, Liz, Robert’s twin sister, Sarah, and son and brother Jack (10). Terry’s siblings include his brother Brent and his two sisters, Diane and Kristy. There are many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles who survive. Terry’s parents, Herman and Daisy, preceded him in death.
The family will greet friends and family on Tuesday, August 2 from 2-4 at Moss Feaster Funeral Home, 693 S. Belcher Road, Clearwater. There will be a service following from 4 -5. Afterwards, Liz, Sarah and Jack invite family and friends to celebrate the lives and loves of Terry and Robert at a reception from 6-8 at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort, 400 Mandalay Ave., Clearwater Beach, FL.
