Nancy Vire was born May 23, 1964 in New Haven, Connecticut. She was the youngest of two children raised by their loving parents, Richard and Maryann Raynor. Nancy leaves behind her devoted husband, Brian Vire, her three children, Victoria Howard, Cassandra Howard, and William Howard, as well as Step Son, David Vire. She was an incredible grandmother to Owen, Samantha, and Lucas. She is survived by her older brother, Richard Raynor, as well as her niece Taylor and nephew Joseph. She also leaves behind her three beloved pets, Murry, Max, and Angus. Nancy leaves behind a loving family and an extensive network of friends.
Nancy graduated from Joseph A. Foran High School in Milford, CT in 1982. She quickly went into the world and started a family with William Howard. They relocated to Palm Harbor, Florida, where she lived in the same house for over 30 years. Nancy went on to meet her husband Brian Vire in 2009 and they married in 2015. During their time together, they enjoyed traveling and experiencing new things together. Nancy loved gardening, doing home improvement projects, playing cards, listening to music, and spending as much time as possible with her family. Nancy had a very big heart and went out of her way to give to everyone. Her door was always open. Her Sunday dinners were the stuff of legend; no one ever went hungry at Nancy’s table. Her love of cooking was evident even from an early age, when she used to cook pancakes for her parents. Nancy was a rock to those who knew her, offering stability and a warm smile in even the most turbulent times. Her moral compass always pointed north. Through her actions, she demonstrated what it meant to be a wonderful human being.
To her friends and colleagues at work, Nancy was a wealth of knowledge, always going above and beyond what was required of her. She worked at UnitedHealthcare for 20 years. During this time, she made many great friends and touched many lives. She loved the challenge that her career presented and found the experience to be rewarding.
Although she has finished her time on Earth, she continues to be the embodiment of compassion and is still helping others. Nancy made the decision to become an Organ Donor in 2015. Through her work with LifeLink, Nancy will continue to make a positive impact and save lives.
