Spear, Michael C, 73 of Safety Harbor died Sunday Nov 4th at home. Born July 2, 1945 in Montgomery Alabama he was the son of Martin and Mildred Corbitt Spear. Michael graduated from Auburn University and served in the Air National Guard in Alabama. He was a member of the Heritage United Methodist Church. He retired from GTE after 32 years. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Ann McLean Spear, two daughters Cynthia Spear (Keith) Dixon of Opelika, Alabama, Shannon Spear (Kellen) Scott of Clearwater, Florida, four granddaughters, Danielle and Abigail Dixon of Opelika, Alabama, Karina and Callie Scott of Clearwater, Florida. A memorial service will be at 4 pm, Saturday Nov 10th at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home, 2853 Sunset Point Rd. Clearwater, Florida 33759. Visitation will be 2-4 pm prior, at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park at a later date. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Suncoast Hospice.
