Michael D Long, age 60, of Clearwater, Florida passed away on Saturday, November 16, 2024. Michael was born on April 17, 1964 in Clearwater, FL to Howard Long and Kathryn Jerman Long. He is survived by his parents, as well as, his fiance, Karen Meister, and his children, Emily Long and Jacob Long. His grandson, Mason. Also his aunt, Karon Mann, uncle, Donald Long, along with several cousins. Michael is preceded in death by his cousin, Tracy Walker.
Michael retired recently from a dedicated 40-year career as a production supervisor at Firmenich. In his free time, Michael liked to go fishing, boating, golfing, hunting, and the occasional camping trip. After retirement, he had more time to dedicate to his passion for barbequing, smoking meats, and gardening.
Michael was a dedicated family man. He was an excellent father, grandfather, and partner. He will be missed by everyone.
There will be a graveside held for Michael at 11:00 am on December 7, 2024 at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park (2860 Sunset Point Rd. Clearwater, FL 33759).
