Lorraine was born on December 30, 1935 to Robert and Susie Jackson in Chicago, Illinois. She is survived by the love of her life, her husband of 25 years, Edward Walsh, loving daughters Susann Haddad(Jamil), Tina Roth (Bob), and son Glenn Huggins; adored grandchildren. ( affectionately called a Grandma Sunshine by some); Angela Haddad (soon to be Mrs.John Ring), Sean Roth( Natasha), Frank Haddad, Erica Stiner(Kevin), Christina Roth( Garrett), Natalie Haddad ( Ben), Robbie Huggins( Amber), Heather Huggins, Nicole Huggins; great-grandchildren Tyler Stiner, Alex Stiner, Alice Huggins, Lilly Huggins, Zane Swenson, Arianna Roth, Amelia Stiner, Alonzo Baker, and Jaxson Huggins. Lorraine is survived by her eldest sister, Barbara Perniconi (Leo); loving niece and Godchild Ginger, and loving nephews, Chuck and Joseph. Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving parents Susie and a Robert Jackson, loving sisters; Loretta Straley ( her twin, Raymond, still living), Patricia Morris( Charles), JoAnn( John) and her lifelong friend Irene Lambert.
Lorraine was a woman with strength, courage, love for The Lord and unending love for her children, grandchildren and Ed. Lorraine worked many jobs in her hard struggle to raise three small children, on her own, in a time where pay was low for women. She worked in Chicago at Stat Tab, Federal Sign and Signal, Illinois Central Railroad, and JC Penny.
Lorraine made Florida her home in the 1980’s. She loved Florida and the tropical atmosphere and the beautiful flowers.Lorraine and Ed spent many years of their retirement volunteering for Ruth Eckerd Hall, Largo Cultural Center, Francis Wilson Playhouse, The Clearwater- St. Pete Airport as greeters and information, Lighthouse for the Blind, Florida State Fair, and Ag- Venture for children. She loved to volunteer and meet new people. It became her life.
We the family of Lorraine, will be forever indebted to the loving care and support to her and Ed from the Suncoast Hospice staff, Amy (RN); Nanette (CNA) and Carol ( volunteer and support to Ed).
