Jennie Vanadia Russo, 95, longtime resident of Clearwater, Florida, went to be with the Lord Monday, March 27. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, October 31, 1927, to immigrant parents; Sam and Stella Vanadia. Jennie worked for many years in the insurance industry and was involved in Bible studies, visitation, and choir at Mt. Prospect Bible Church. After moving to Florida in 1980, Jennie worked at St. Petersburg College and attended Calvary Baptist Church where she was her Sunday school class pianist and social activities planner. Jennie is preceded in death by her loving husband of forty-seven years; Mike Russo and siblings; Vince Vanadia and Mary Cunningham. Jennie is survived by her two daughters; Nancy (Steve) Sinclair and Lynda (John) Womer, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, to whom she loved sending cards and giving gifts. We will miss her greatly and look forward to seeing her “in the life of the world to come.” A visitation will be held Saturday, April 15 from 12 - 1 pm at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home (2853 Sunset Point Rd, Clearwater, FL). A funeral service for Jennie will start at 1:00 with graveside to follow. There will be a reception held back at Sylvan Abbey Funeral Home after the graveside service.
