She was preceded in death by her parents, Romeo B. and Nora S Scerbo of Dunedin and sister, Susan Ray of AtlaBorn in North Adams, MA Janis moved to Dunedin in 1951 and graduated from Clearwater High School in 1961.
Janis retired as HR Director from Sypris Electronics (Honeywell) after a 40 year career in both Clearwater and Tampa. Her remaining years were spent volunteering for the Armed Forces History Museum, Largo and was currently serving as the paymaster for the Marine Corp League of Florida.
The most important thing in her life was family, although she did not have children, she was known as A J (Aunt Janis) or Grammy Jan to her many nieces and nephews
Janis is survived by her brother, Bernard F Scerbo (Mollie) Henderson, NC, sisters, Sally A Morris, New Port Richey, Linda M Rhea (Jimmy), Trinity, Uncle, Joseph Scerbo (Sandy), Blairsville, Ga several nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and lifelong friends, Jeanne Miller and Ulysses Belmont
The family will hold a private service at a later time.
