Elmer Dean Evans (age 82) of Old Town, FL (formerly of Clearwater), died on Wednesday April 12, 2017. Dean was born on April 3, 1935 in Captina, West Virginia. He graduated from East Sparta High School in East Sparta, Ohio in 1953. Dean married schoolmate Shirley Keagy, in 1954. They divorced in 1992. Dean was preceded in death by his parents Elmer Haze and Edna Ruth Evans of Canton, Ohio. Elmer and Edna had four children. Dean’s three sisters all survive him. They are Ellen Kirkbride (Strasburg, OH), Marlene Wagmiller (Louisville, OH), and Darlene Alborn (East Sparta, OH). He is survived by his ex-wife Shirley Evans of Dunedin, FL and their four children, Dawn Evans (Palmetto, FL), Dale Evans (Safety Harbor, FL), Deanne Tinder (Binghamton, NY) and Darla Evans (Largo, FL). He is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
