Robert Dale Amberger, a man known for his kindness and generosity, left us too soon on Saturday, April 19, 2025, at the age of 65. He was always ready to give you the shirt off his back or the last dollar in his wallet, embodying the true spirit of selflessness.
Dale's sense of humor was complemented by his intense love for chocolate. As an Army Veteran, he proudly rode his Harley Dyna Wide Glide, a '98 model in custom purple, symbolizing his indomitable spirit. Dale was not only a fleet mechanic and lover of NASCAR, but also enjoyed tinkering on small machinery, garage saleing every Saturday, hunting, fishing, and eating frog legs. His passion for life extended to being a devoted Gator fan, and most importantly, a fan of his precious family.
Born in Harrisburg, Illinois, Dale was the cherished son of Judith (Coltrin) and Glenn Dale Amberger. He met his city girl, Sandra Jean Allen, while working together at Granutech. Dale cared for Sandra and their children mightily, through good times and bad, always standing by their sides. His love and dedication to his family were unwavering, and we plan to carry him with us in our hearts always.
Dale was preceded in death by his brother, David, and his beloved granddaughter, Aurora.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Allen; children, Chris, Eric, Kathryn, Jamie, Jeremy, Travis, and Lindsey; and grandchildren, Michael, Gabriel, Kayden, Logan, Dakota, Reno, Roux, Melony, Jeremiah, and Kaleb.
You are invited to join us at Sylvan Abbey Memorial Park and Funeral Home in Clearwater, Florida, for visitation on Saturday, May 3rd from 4 to 6pm, and on Sunday, May 4th for a 2pm Celebration of Life, U.S. Army Honors with his committal and burial, immediately followed by a reception.
