I felt only joy in her presence.  Sitting as a child staring at the eggplant I had refused to eat at dinner, sequestered at the kitchen table as the sun set, it was my Aunt Annie who came to me with a whisper and said, "One day you will enjoy this, but for now let's say you finished your eggplant."  Eggplant is a favorite of mine today, surely because of the lesson she imparted that evening with a whisper, that all is well, and that her love for me was unconditional and eternal. I recall a picture of my sisters Mary, Jane, and my mother, and my Aunt Annie in the background; in her eyes was a love for the moment, a joy of family, a complete immersion in the moment.  Always a complete immersion into the moment, receiving and giving, teaching and listening, sharing and loving.  My Aunt Annie. Calling in the morning, "Jimmy, your breakfast is ready", and I watched her, expending her energy and love to care for us, to give all she had to assure we were cared for...unconditionally.  And the brilliance.  As I grew and became aware of my world, Aunt Annie was always, always there to share her experience, her ear, and her cyrstalline insights which led me to know more with each loving conversation. Her laugh ignited the room, pulling all into a whirlwind of joy and excitement of the moment.
The moment I discovered her passing, my universe ripped, a tear in heart and soul that will not repair.  The world lost a magnificent soul, yet I have consolation in my heart that she will remain until I join her, if I am worthy.

I am Aunt Anne's namesake; Anne M. Fisher.  My mother, Jane Kelly Fisher was her only sibling. "Aunt Anne doesn't have a mean bone in her body", my mother would always say.  Mom and Aunt Anne remained close throughout their lives and loved each other unconditionally. Our Beloved Aunt Anne was a loving daughter, a faithful wife to Uncle George (who was amazing/loved us all to pieces/he was always filming and taking our pictures when the six of us were little)and, of course, she was one of the most wonderful, kind, fun-loving, hospitable, gracious, well-bred, intelligent and generous women ever blessed with life on earth. Ecclesiastes 12:13 says: "The conclusion of the matter, everything having been heard, is: 'Fear the true God and keep his commandments. For this is the whole obligation of man." Most importantly, Aunt Anne loved God throughout her life; always saying her prayers before she slept. Proverbs 10:7 says: "the remembrance of the righteous one is due for a blessing". Aunt Anne will be remembered and was a blessing beyond compare to her entire family, friends, neighbors and those who had the pleasure of her acquaintance.  1 Corinthians 13:7-8 "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends." Aunt Anne's love was a perfect example to all of us. Aunt Anne was truly loved. She will never be forgotten.

Ann was a wonderful lady and neighbor always very friendly. It was great to see her drive her car to go shopping etc. She was always active going to the different activities here in Imperial Palms and also to our Monthly Dinner's. She will be greatly missed.
