She was born June 7, 1930 in Clearfield, the daughter of Kenneth and Grace (Wisor) Knepp.
Wanda was a graduate of Clearfield High School.
Mrs. Hoover was a Homemaker and had worked at the former Sylvania Company.
She was a member of the former Church of the Nazarene where she had been treasurer for 52 years and was affiliated with the Hyde Wesleyan Church.
Wanda loved going to the Silver Sneakers and YMCA, was an avid Penn State and Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed quilting.
Wanda is survived by her four sons; David Hoover and his wife Joy of Glen Rock, Larry Hoover and his wife LaRay of Litz Bridge, Ronald Hoover of Curwensville and Mark Hoover and his wife Lisa of Higdon, AL, 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, three sisters; Louise Lowe (Herb) of Houtzdale, Joan Green of Woodland and Kathie Cutler of Clearfield and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Merrill C. Hoover whom she married March 19, 1954 and who passed away January 15, 1997, three sisters; Norma Pry, Lucy Judge and Garnett Van Meter, twin brothers; Billy and Benny Knepp and a brother, Leo Knepp.
Funeral Services will be held at the Clearfield Alliance Church on Saturday, December 10, 2022 at 12:00 PM with Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg and Pastor Stevan Sheets co-officiating. Interment will be in Stoneville Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Friday, December 9, 2022 from 5:00 to 9:00 PM and at the church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the hour of services.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Hyde Wesleyan Church, 1215 Riverview Road, Clearfield, PA 16830.
