He was born April 21, 1937 in Philipsburg, the son of James and Avanel (Peters) Casher.
Lee was a graduate of Liberty Baptist College.
He was Pastor for 40 years of the Gospel Chapel of Clearfield County with an outreach to Zambia, Africa, was a World Wide Radio Minister broadcasting “A Look Into the Word” which corresponded with 63 countries and was a member of and ordained by the Association of Faith Churches and Ministers.
Lee was a United States Air Force veteran having served during peacetime.
Pastor Casher is survived by his wife, Lequitta J. (Jordan) Casher whom he married October 15, 1960, three children; Brenda C. Lingle and her husband Bryan of Bradenton, FL, Walt Casher of Meadville and Rhonda L. Ogden and her husband John of Clearfield, three grandchildren; Bryan Lingle, Jr. and his wife Sarah, Brent Lingle and his wife Sarah and Bryce Lingle and his wife Kelsey, six great grandchildren; Hailey, Olivia, Sadie, Wyatt, Harrison and Cora Lingle, a brother, Bruce Casher and his wife Barb of North Carolina and a sister, Lillian Wasko of Ohio.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Leanne Renee “Annie” Casher, a brother, Robert Casher and maternal grandparents, Earl and Cora Peters.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, September 1, 2023 at the Gospel Chapel of Clearfield County with Pastor Michael Patton officiating. Interment will be in Bradford Cemetery. Military Honors will be accorded at the cemetery by the Clearfield Honor Guard.
Friends will be received at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 2:00 to 8:00 PM and at the church on Friday from 11:00 AM until the hour of services.
