She was born April 4, 1936 in Clearfield, the daughter of LeRoy and Nora (Bell) Johnson.
Mary had worked for the former Brodys and more recently Chubby’s Cleaners Toto’s Tailoring and Tux.
She was well known in the area as an excellent seamstress.
Mary is survived by her three children; Linda K. Dixon and her husband Ron of Wallaceton, Joanne D. Best and her husband Chris of Grampian and Thomas R. Houser and his wife Betsy of Clearfield; two grandsons, Ryan Houser and his significant other, Kim Guiher and Matt Houser and his significant other, Brandi Butler; two great-grandchildren, Kendyl and Lexie Houser; three siblings, Arthur Johson (Mary Jane) of New Jersey, Thomas Johnson (Joann) of Grampian and Catherine Hurd of Bells Landing and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard N. Houser whom she married April 16, 1955 and who passed away December 9, 1995; a daughter, Marybeth Houser who passed away April 1, 1989 and three brothers; Lawrence, Frank and Ansel Johnson.
Funeral Services will be held at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. of Clearfield on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 at 11:00 AM with Rev. M. Bruce Dimmick officiating. Interment will be in Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the hour of services.
