She was born on September 29, 1946 in Osceola Mills, the daughter of the late Raymond and Pauline (Black) Homan. On November 3, 1967 she married Thomas Royer, he survives.
Retired, Maddie had worked for Shortway Products, Berg Electronics which later became FCI Electronics and Big Lots.
She was a member of West Side United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included reading, cross words puzzles and Jeopardy.
Maddie is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Thomas Royer; three daughters: Wendi Chua and her husband David of Bethlehem, PA, Casey Trithart and her husband Chad of Bellefonte, PA and Kelly Royer and her husband Marc Berringer Clearfield, PA; six grandsons: Matt and Nick Chua, Jordan Royer, Izaak, Hunter, Dylan Thrithart; a sister, Helen and a brother, Larry Goodman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings: Robert Homan, Gloria Williams, Nancy Couturiaux, Carol Hendrix, Ruth Homan and Raymond Homan.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Dr. Joleen Willis officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm on Friday, August 9, 2019 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Saturday from 10am until the hour of services.
