He was born on June 9, 1977 in Clearfield the son of Betty Swatsworth Kula and John W. Kula Sr. On September 28, 2013 he married the former Tanya Wallace, who survives.
Ken was a 1995 graduate of Curwensville High School and he attended CCCTC for carpentry. He was employed at Jims Sports Center for 20 years.
He was an avid outdoorsmen, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, along with playing his guitar. He was an avid Civil War enthusiast and enjoyed visiting Gettysburg National Park.
Along with his wife, Tanya Kula, he is survived by his parents, John W. Kula Sr. and Betty Kula of Olanta, a brother, John W. Kula Jr. of Bloomsburg, PA; paternal grandmother, Nora J. Kula of Curwensville; two uncles: Francis Kula and his wife Urma of Nutley, NJ, Simon Kula and his wife Linda of Walla Walla, Washington; two aunts: Susan Kula of State College and Susan Swatsworth Stephens and her husband Allen “Tuffy” of Curwensville.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Sam F. Kula and maternal grandparents: Leonard and Josephine Swatsworth.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at the Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Inc. with Rev. Daniel M. Osterhout officiating. Burial will be in Eden Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the funeral home. An additional hour of viewing will be held on Wednesday from 10am until the hour of services.
